Mukul Goel, founding member, shares the torch with new management team

PITTSBURGH (February 15, 2005) – With the signing of a new operating agreement, Pittsburghfashion.com has officially become a Limited Liability Company with seven members. At 8:30 pm, on February 15, 2005, Mukul Goel, Kate Ebersole, Mary Presutti, Laura Petrilla, Allan Parsons, Sarah Moyik and Elise Yacovone solidified the new management team of Pittsburghfashion.com.
Founding member Mukul Goel said, “Continue to spread beauty. May you all have great success,” as he passed on key management duties to his chosen partners. Goel will continue his involvement with the group as a consultant and mentor as well as improving the technology of the website by tapping new resources overseas.
After receiving his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Goel began the website as an Information Technology project with CMU students in the spring of 2004 and incorporated in June, 2004. He contacted fashion professionals, fashion businesses, student writers, photographers, and many other talented locals for inspiration. What began as a simple project has finally come to fruition.
Since its inception, Pittsburghfashion.com has aimed to be a resource for all fashion-conscious and fashion curious Pittsburghers, while in turn promoting local fashion to a global audience. Dan Friedson, legal counsel and Director of the Community and Economic Development Clinic, said, “We are ready to grow now. We are all set.”
