PittsburghFashion.com’s managing director, Mukul Goel was one of the featured professionals at the weekly “Entrepreneurial Thursday” event.

This past week’s theme was titled, “Innovations in the Fashion and Beauty Industry in this Region.” Goel was one of six professionals who participated in the interview session. Hosted by Jessica Lee at Dowe’s on 9th, the event highlighted rising fashion and beauty businesses in the Pittsburgh area. Other interviewees included Randall Reese, the fashion and style editor for Pittsburgh Magazine; Jamie Rivers, the owner of Sugar Boutique; Brett James of Brett James Salon, Andrea Miller, a representative for Silpada designs and Marlene Yandel, the owner of Yandels.
After an opening cocktail hour accompanied by Lee’s jazz vocals and house band, the interviewees joined Lee on stage for a question and answer session. Each professional gave a quick description of his or her business venture and why it was an important asset to the greater Pittsburgh region.
After the interview sessions, everyone at the event was able to socialize, network and exchange business cards. “Entrepreneurial Thursdays” is a networking event, held each week with a different theme. Anyone in the area who is interested in supporting and learning about “what’s innovative and positive in the Pittsburgh region” is welcome to attend the events.
