It must be exceptional hosiery that will really make an outfit and turn heads everywhere. But where do you find such a thing, one might ask? Good question! The sad truth is that this type of hosiery is a very difficult product to find not only in Pittsburgh, but in the entire United States. (Yes, even in New York!) This is why entrepreneur, Antonella Bonanni Hughes, has decided to import these fresh new styles of hosiery from Italy and France.

Her line will be called Catwalk Hosiery, and lucky for us, she will be establishing it right here in Pittsburgh! Antonella’s collection will include styles of hosiery perfect for going to the Symphony, perfect for clubbing, and perfect for everywhere in between.
Although right now she is sticking with primarily internet, you may spot her at local fashion shows promoting her fresh new collection. It won’t be hard to spot either, considering that her product is unique, and virtually unseen in Pittsburgh. Just look for women wearing the coolest pantyhose you have ever seen, and they will almost certainly be from Catwalk Hosiery.
Like any intelligent entrepreneur, she is first gauging the demand of her product. Antonella believes that women primarily between the ages of 18-38 will be the ones most interested in her hosiery, but will also carry styles appropriate for the 38+ market. “Women who like to be unique and who like to turn heads”, will be the ones buying her hosiery. And who doesn’t like to turn heads? The hosiery is even affordable and will range from $20-$40 in price. But these aren’t like regular pantyhose that you throw away after one use. “Catwalk Hosiery is very durable, and has one of the lowest defect rates”, explained Antonella.
The most comparable line of hosiery she compared Catwalk to is the Wolford line found at Saks, but even that comparison doesn’t do her product justice. Her hosiery isn’t just a garnishing to an outfit; it is the centerpiece of it. Antonella made it clear how unique her product is when she said she doesn’t want people saying “What kind of ‘hose’ can I wear with this outfit, but instead, what kind of outfit can I wear with these ‘hose’”!
